Massachusetts Bike Week 2000
Saturday, May 13 through
Sunday, May 21

Bike Week is part of Bike Month, a national event to celebrate and encourage bicycling.

All Week:

Cycle 2000 Challenge Bike Week bike to work competition for corporate members of Boston Transportation Management Associations. For help concerning bike commuting, check out the League of American Bicyclists' Bike Month Information.
Bike Commute Week 2000 "Do the MATH"-save Money, improve Air quality, save Time, and get Healthy-is the motto of the Pioneer Valley's Alternative Commute effort to encourage Pioneer Valley residents to explore alternatives to single occupancy vehicle use. Since not everyone can bike commute, all alternative modes are encouraged: walk, take the bus, carpool, bicycle, and combine car trips. In addition, area employers will learn how to establish alternative commute programs, and participating municipalities will find ways to develop their bicycle infrastructure, including training for city staff and purchase of low-cost bicycle facilities.
Events are on this calendar. Click here to download the 304,922-byte PDF brochure.
