Palo Alto's Bicycle Boulevard

In April of 1995, Mark Spain and I took Caltrain to Palo Alto from San Jose, where I obtained a permit for my bike at the ticket counter in less than 5 minutes. A week later, the permit requirement was abolished. Bill and Terri Michel of the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition met us at the Palo Alto Caltrain station and gave us a tour of the Bicycle Boulevard.
