Celebrate summer with First Night as they co-sponsor an evening of live performances. Drumming and dancing with some of Boston’s best performers and children from the neighborhood of Mattapan Thursday, Aug. 10th, 12:30pm- 1:30pm. Local songteller Janice Allen will take her audience on a rhythmic journey from the African continent to the Carolina Sea Islands. Thursday August 17th, 7pm-8:30pm Wild Again will bring some native wildlife including a snake, turtle, skunk and owl. Meet and learn about the animals up close. Thursday Aug. 24th, 7pm-8:3Opm Bonaparte the magician will entertain the crowd with zany balloon creations, amazing tricks and lots of laughs. |
