Massbike's 2nd Annual Bike Festival + Time Trial
|
Saturday, August 28th (rain date August 29th)
8:30 AM - 4 PM Concord, Massachusetts
Massbike has put together a full day of great rides and events for the
whole family - from cycling maniacs to the once-a-year rider. We'll be
celebrating the end of summer with a day of rides from 5 miles to a metric
century (100 K), including an ice cream ride, a ride to the beautiful apple
town of Harvard, and rides to Walden Pond and other swimming holes. The
event is being held at the Fenn School near downtown Concord, so we'll
also have some history-themed rides to take advantage of our location.
There will be an afternoon bike expo and activities for kids as well.
A competitive - yet open to racing novices - 9.75 mile Time Trial at
4 PM will round out the day's activities.
Our sponsors, Redbones BBQ,
Verrill Farms, Wholefoods, Blue Frog Bakery, Rockstar Energy Drinks,
and Media Sponsor WRKO will be providing fantastic food and other goodies.
Bike checkups will be provided by Landry's.
Advance registration is $25 for individuals and $40 for families.
An additional $10 is required to register for the Time Trial.
Registration fees on-site will be $35 for individuals and $50 for
families. Day-of registration for the time trial will cost $10 if you're
also attending the Bike Festival or $15 if you are only doing the time trial.
Please pre-register online!
All proceeds go to Massbike, which works
to improve cycling conditions throughout Massachusetts. For more information
or to volunteer at this fun event, see www.massbike.org, e-mail Karin at
