Bikeweek is a national event to celebrate and encourage bicycling. Boston's Bikeweek includes a variety of events, including a one-day festival on City Hall plaza.
Why is Boston having a bike week? The themes of this year's Bikeweek are transportation, recreation, health, and safety, as people use bicycles to get to four "destinations": to work, to school, to play, and to health. A children's art contest puts these themes into visible form.
The current schedule details the rides and the one-day festival. New events are being added!
