9:30 am - noon Tour of Arlington | Meet at the Spy Pond parking lot (near the Arlington Boys and Girls Club, just east of Arlington Center) for a casual and easy paced bike tour of some of Arlington's special places with the Arlington Bicycle Committee. There will be a police escort sponsored by the town's police bike unit and complimentary refreshments from Trader Joe's. |

5:00pm-midnight Bike Week Kickoff Party | Redbones, 55 Chester St. (Davis Square), Somerville, co-sponsored by The Ride magazine. $7.00 at the door gets you a pulled-pork barbecue sandwich, a beer, and valet bicycle parking. This is also the kickoff for the Atlantic Cup Classic race series. Proceeds benefit the Somerville Youth Program. Directions and map with parking guide are online. |

All Day Bike to Work Day Corporate Challenge | Boston Bike to Work Corporate Challenge, sponsored by the Boston Transportation Department (BTD), the Boston Area Transportation Management Associations, BEN & JERRY'S, CARAVAN for Commuters and MassBike. Companies and their employees that bike to work on this day should preregister with the BTD.
