        Don't actually stop here, just go by it.

0.2	Exit library driveway and turn right on HIGHLAND AVE.
0.3	Turn left on VINAL AVE.

* STOP 2: Vinal Ave./Pleasant Ave. historic district
        Stop and talk at the corner of Vinal and Pleasant.

0.4	Left on SUMMIT AVE, which becomes BOSTON STREET
        after it crosses Walnut St.

* STOP 3: Prospect Hill Tower.

        Pull onto sidewalk to look over fence at the cemetery.

2.3	Continue east on SOMERVILLE AVENUE.

2.8	Left again onto WASHINGTON STREET (at Ricky's Flower Market)
3.1	Left onto McGRATH HIGHWAY UP-RAMP.
3.2	Right onto CROSS STREET (just before ramp merges with highway)

6.0	Right on GLENWOOD ROAD (short steep hill climb)
6.1	Right onto BROADWAY sidewalk to look at....

* STOP 10: Adams-Magoun House, 438 Broadway (built 1793)

6.1	Cross BROADWAY and proceed west
        (downhill, through Magoun and Ball squares)
6.8	Left (at Liberty Ave. intersection) into POWDERHOUSE PARK
        Ride up paved path in park to

* STOP 11: The Powder House.

7.0	Exit park onto POWDER HOUSE TERRACE
7.2	Right on KIDDER AVE.
7.3	Left on COLLEGE AVE.

* STOP 12: West Somerville Library, 40 College Avenue.

        Continue south on COLLEGE AVE

        best viewed from the plaza) .

        (on a former railroad right-of-way)
