2005 Past Massachusetts Bicycle Meetings
- Assabet River Rail Trail Monthly Meeting
- Thursday, January 20, 7:00 pm in the Mayor's Conference Room
(top floor) at Marlborough City Hall.
- This first meeting after the December break will look forward
to spring 2005 activities, and there will be a drawing for a $75
Eastern Mountain Sports equipment rental certificate.
- MassBike Metro Boston Kickoff Meeting
- Wednesday, January 26, 6:30 to 8:30 pm, University Lutheran Church,
66 Winthrop Street in Harvard Square, Cambridge
- The purpose of the chapter will be to conduct advocacy and outreach
on bicycle-related issues of concern across the core cities and towns of
the metropolitan Boston area. At this kick-off meeting we will define
the vision and geographic scope for the chapter, brainstorm issues to be
addressed, and lay out some next steps towards building the chapter as an
effective working group.
- If you are interested in taking part in this exciting initiative, we
encourage you to RSVP or just show up! For RSVPs, questions, or more
detailed directions
contact Chris Porter or
contact Dorie Clark.
Directions:
- The location is University Lutheran Church, 66 Winthrop Street in
Harvard Square, Cambridge. To find it from the Harvard T station, walk
2 blocks towards the river on JFK Street (one block past Mt. Auburn Street)
and take a left on Winthrop. We are a modernish (1940s) brick building
just past Pinocchio's pizza Ring the front doorbell (main entrance).
There are bike racks on the right side of the building. The church only
has 3-4 spaces of off-street parking but these are typically reserved
for church use, so attendees who come by car must find on-street parking
(challenging) or park in a garage (expensive). Park-and-ride from Alewife
or Central may be a more efficient option.
- MassBike Board
- Monday, January 31, 6:30-8:30 pm, Waltham
- All MassBike members are welcome to attend.
