Day 1, Sunday, July 19: 58 miles -- Arlington to Holden
We'll ride through historic Lexington and Concord, stop at the classic New England town common in Harvard, and skim the edge of the Wachusett Reservoir, before a short climb into Holden Center.

Day 2, Monday, July 20: 57 miles -- Holden to Northfield
We'll continue our northwest trek along quiet country roads lined with stone walls, through more classic commons in Barre and Petersham on our way to Northfield, a stone's throw from the Vermont and New Hampshire borders.

Day 3, Tuesday, July 21: 56 miles -- Northfield to Northampton
We'll snake along various river valleys (and a few selected climbs) in the Bershires, then across the plains of the Connecticut River valley as we make our way down to historic Northampton in Hampshire County.

Day 4, Wednesday, July 22: 0-100 miles
Whether you relax at a nearby beach, enjoy browsing around Northampton, or ride a planned century to Williamstown, we stay a second night in Northampton.

Day 5, Thursday, July 23: 65 miles -- Northampton to Dudley
We'll cross the Connecticut River on the Norwottuck Rail Trail bridge and head southeast along rolling country roads through Belchertown, Palmer, Warren and Sturbridge, staying only minutes from Lake Chargoggagoggmanchaugagoggchaubunagungamaug (that's right)

Day 6, Frida, July 24: 71 miles -- Dudley to Taunton
Our longest segment begins with more quiet back roads, rolls eastward to Norfold, and ends on the broad flats of southeastern Massachussets.

Day 7, Saturday, July 25: 57 miles -- Taunton to Arlington
We'll head straight north through the beautiful horse country of Norfolk County, then end our final day of MassBike Tour '98 traversing the manicured MetorWest region.
